SILVER EGG
The soot that forms covers the surface of the
eggshell, and if the burnt shell is placed in water, it turns silver. The soot
repels the water and covers the egg with thin layer of air, which reflects
light rays, thus making the egg look silver.

Diffusion is the movement of a substance from an
area of higher concentration to an area of lower concentration. Rate of
diffusion of a substance depends upon the temperature. Higher the temperature
faster is the diffusion.
